If I could
use one word to describe my
approach to counseling it would
be intuitive. I have an
innate ability to understand
where my clients are coming from
and, more importantly, where
they need to go.
My clients
tell me I am straightforward,
that I am an anchor for them.
I am able to bring them back to
the big picture of their lives.
What that means for my clients
is that I save them time and
money. I’m able to teach
them skills that they can apply
immediately and get on with
life.
As a
counselor I have the opportunity
to make a real difference
in the lives of my clients. When
people choose to enter
counseling they are putting a
lot on the line. Its my
passion to be there for them
so that they know they are
not alone and there is a way
through the situation they are
in.
I was born,
raised and educated in New York
City and have lived in (and
love) Sacramento, California for
seven years. For me, Sacramento
is a unique city, large enough
to have the diversity, energy
and great restaurants of a big
city and small enough to provide
a unique sense of community.
Before
becoming a counselor, I worked
as a newspaper editor and also
spent eight years in the
restaurant industry which taught
me to be a great listener
and to understand and
emphasize with people in all
circumstances and from every
walk of life.
Outside of
work, I race in triathlons and I
enjoy traveling, good food,
skiing and taking long walks
with my Dachshund-Yorkshire mix puppy.
